The Purpose of This Ministry
is to clearly and relevantly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that
persons of all ages may experience new birth through faith in Jesus and
transforming life through the power of the Holy Spirit and may become
faithful witnesses of Jesus Christ.
This is a faith
ministry
dependant on freewill offerings, honorariums and
the support of churches and individuals who choose to partner with this
ministry.
Through preaching,
workshops, music, and drama
Roy shares the gospel with
people of all ages and works to equip God's people to effectively bear
witness to Christ today. Roy has spoken in groups of all sizes - from
youth groups to a Promise Keepers stadium event, from local churches to
a local fair. He has also spoken in many different denominations in
several states.

Born in 1963, Roy gave his heart to Christ
at an early age and by age 11 began to know God's call to
preach.
From the beginning his heart burned with
the desire to preach as an evangelist. Roy became a certified
layspeaker as a teenager. He graduated from Indiana University
of Pennsylvania in 1985 and received a Master of Divinity degree
from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1989. Roy is an ordained
Elder in the United Methodist Church. He pastored full-time for
seven years. In answer to years of prayer and preparation he was
appointed to serve as a General Evangelist full-time in 1996.
Roy is accountable to the Board of Directors of Roy Gearhart
Cutting Edge Ministries and to the Western Pennsylvania
Conference of the U. M. Church. |

Janice and Roy have been married since
1983 and since then have been partners together in all phases of
ministry. Janice gave
her life to Christ as a teen. She has grown to be a gifted
speaker and teacher. Janice has played church music since
she was twelve. Her talent with piano and keyboard has
enabled them to develop a music and worship leading ministry
through which they blend contemporary and traditional elements.
Janice is also the ministry's office manager. |

The Hill of Crosses in Lithuania
When our older
daughter, Bethany, went on a mission trip to Lithuania she brought back
the story of this place. When the communists took over they tried to
stamp out the peoples faith. They took down crosses and closed
churches. The people began putting crosses on this hill as a
testimony to their faith in Christ. The communists took them down.
The people put up twice as many. This was repeated over and over
until the communists gave up. People still bring crosses to this
hill. It is still a solemn testament to their faith in Jesus
Christ.
